Kisii county politicians have been urged to avoid divisive politics ahead of the 2017 polls.
This is according to the Kisii county commissioner Samuel Njora.
Njora was addressing locals on Monday at Gusii stadium and said that politicians should embrace peace in campaigns and stop spreading propaganda and hatred.
He warned politicians who will engage in divisive politics that the law will catch up with them.
"This time round security will be tight. Leaders must work together for the unity of the people. Violence will be dealt with by the full force of the law as the country approaches elections," he said.
