Opposition leader Raila Odinga has been called upon to stop applying double standards when it comes to fighting against corruption in Kenya by defending some of the leaders that are affiliated with his party.
According to Riana ward MCA Mr Obote Motonu, the opposition leader has been keen in fighting corruption that government-affiliated officials have been involved in instead of cracking a whip on both sides.
Obote said the recent report circulating that some Orange Democratic Party governors were involved would have been handled the same way he handles other governor and MPs involved in corruption scandals.
Speaking at a burial on Thursday at Iyabe area the MCA said that he respects the opposition leader so much and it’s high time he stops defending the alleged corrupt governors that are associated with his party.
“Raila should know that he is a national leader and should not be involved in helping the corrupt get away with the public funds that are set aside for development matter,” he added.
The MCAs called upon all the bodies responsible to carry out investigations to ensure that they get the real thieves who took the monies from counties.
