Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has slammed DP William Ruto’s claims that ODM leader Raila Odinga is an ‘economic saboteur.’
Bosire told the Star on the phone on Sunday that the DP should stop dramatising the war against corruption in the country.
He said Ruto’s remarks against Raila were "mischievous, irresponsible and disrespective".
He told the DP to respect the opposition chief over his efforts to fight corruption which Jubilee has failed to address.
"Ruto should take the path of responsibility and respect the Cord leader for doing his work as a political wizard," Bosire told the Star.
He said Ruto was only keen on diverting the corruption debate by launching a vigorous campaign to discredit Raila's anti-graft credentials.
"Calling Raila an economic saboteur is failing to accept the gravity of corruption. It is also arrogant and disrespectful of a man whose references are based on facts," Bosire said.
He said Raila’s wish is to ensure due process is followed with regard to projects, and that public resources are properly utilised.
"Instead of Ruto apologising to Kenyans for the massive corruption, he has decided to engage in propaganda and sensationalisation of issues," he said.
The lawmaker said the opposition not relent to put the Jubilee administration on its toes by pointing out areas where public funds have been misused.
