A nominated MCA in Kisii County has urged local politicians to stop early 2022 campaigns.
Josephine Ombati said politicians should give a chance to those who won during the August 8, 2017 polls to deliver services as by their campaign pledges so that they will not have fake excuses to the electorates in 2022.
"I wish to urge local politicians in Kisii County to stop early 2022 campaigns especially those seeking to replace Governor James Ongwae. It is not the time for politics but service delivery to the electorates. Local leaders should focus on helping those who won in the last year’s polls to serve the people of Kisii County,” she said.
Mrs Ombati stated that Kisii MCAs will support Governor James Ongwae and his Deputy Joash Maangi to ensure they perform as by their campaign promises to improve the lives of the people.
“As Kisii County MCAs we will not abandon our duties especially legislation of laws and passing of important Bills which will help transform the lives of the people across the County. Ongwae and his Deputy Maangi have our full support,” she assured.
She was speaking on Wednesday at Getembe village in Kitutu Central ward.
