Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has warned Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria to cease following his wife around.
Speaking to a local media outlet, the legislator accused the governor of constantly gate-crashing his wife’s events uninvited and that his wife was unhappy about it.
Kamau cited Agnes Irungu’s function on August 12 when the governor raided her event uninvited.
“My wife was not happy at all. She is not a politician who is used to these altercations. I am even told that some of the goons attempted to reach for a cash box where the contributions were kept with intentions of grabbing the money, but luckily the OCS did a good job to maintain peace and ensure safety of the money,” said Kamau.
However, Iria dismissed Kamau’s warnings, saying he will attend all the functions being conducted in the county by his political competitors.
Kamau declared his interest in vying for the Muranga gubernatorial seat and is set to battle it out with the incumbent Iria.
