Eldoret diocese archbishop Cornelius Korir has asked political players in the country to stop holding the nation at ransom.
Speaking on Citizen TV on Wednesday, the clergyman said both the National Super Alliance (Nasa) and Jubilee were setting a bad precedent for the country with their hard line stances on critical electoral issues.
"My appeal to the political class is that they should stop holding the country at ransom. Let them dialogue and come up with the way forward on this matter. Otherwise they are setting a bad precedent for the country," he noted.
His sentiments come barely a day after his Anglican counterpart Jackson ole Sapit made similar calls asking politicians in the country to give dialogue a chance.
While the Nasa maintains that no elections will go on without major reforms in the Iebc,Jubilee on the other hand is adamant that the polls set for October 26 will go on as directed by the poll body.
