Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has accused NASA leaders of holding their supporters captive.

The Jubilee senator argues that Raila has been misleading and giving his supporters false hope.

Speaking to journalists in Kiambu Town on Monday, the Jubilee senator asked Raila and other NASA leaders to tell their supporters the truth and stop holding them hostage.

He observed many of NASA supporters are still suffering from election hangover and their leaders have refused to let them move on.

The senator claimed that NASA is feeding their supporters with false hope that he (Raila) will be crowned president.

"Raila Odinga should allow his supporters to move and help other Kenyans in nation building instead of giving them false hope of him becoming president," he said.

Wamatangi said that Raila has no chance of becoming president now unless he waits for 2022.He said that Uhuru Kenyatta is the duly elected president and will serve Kenyans for the next five years.The Kiambu senator accused NASA leaders of living in denial and using unconstitutional tactics to gain power forcefully.He said that NASA is fighting losing battles indicating that it has no strength to bring down a legally and legitimately elected government.The senator asked NASA supporters to break the NASA captivity and move on with their lives as other Kenyans are doing.On Sunday, Raila postponed his much-publicised swearing-in that had been slated for Tuesday.NASA says that Raila's swearing-in could not proceed in the absence of his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka who is in Germany attending to his ailing wife.Raila insists that he does not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta's government and that he will be sworn-in by the people's assembly.
