Residents of Bonchari have asked former area MP John Opore to stop imposing himself on the people after he lost in last year's polls.
The residents said Opore should accept to retire and stop frustrating the work of the new MP elect John Oyioka who they say was validly elected.
"Yes Opore was a good man when he served as Bonchari MP for 15 years but we are urging him to accept and retire. He has been going round inspecting road projects as if he is the MP and we are not happy because he is jeapardizing the current MP's work," said Isaac Motari.
Mr Motari also the Jubilee Secretary General in Kisii said Kisii that Mr Opore's efforts to get sympathy in a petition he filed in court challenging Oyioka's victory will not give fruits because constituents are tired with Opore's style of leadership.
"Even if a by-election will be conducted in Bonchari Opore won't get even sympathy votes because his tenure CDF money was misused and several projects stalled for long," he added.
Another resident Nelson Ombui said during Opore's tenure students were being sidelined in bursary allocation.
"Mr Opore considered close allies and relatives during his tenure when allocating CDF funds. We don't need him because the constituents made a decision by voting him out last year.
"Let him stop going round the constituency in the name of inspecting projects that were initiated during his tenure. The current MP is able to supervise the projects to ensure they are completed before new projects will be initiated," Ombui added.
They were speaking at Gesero market in Bomariba ward on Sunday.
