Kiambu Women Representative Ann Nyokabi has called on the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) to stop interfering with running of the Jubilee affairs.
Speaking at Limuru Town on Friday during a public meeting, Nyokabi said that constant interference by CORD leaders in the running of state affairs is retarding development.
“I urge CORD to stop interfering with Jubilee government and give it space to serve its citizens effectively,” said Nyokabi .
She said that CORD's interference in the matters of national interest is a bad show to young generations.
Nyokabi however said that if CORD is not satisfied with the government progress, there are channels to follow to address their grievances.
'If CORD is aggrieved by the current regime, then there are established institutions to address their grievances without ‘crude’ means they apply now,” said Nyokabi.
Of late, CORD has been pushing for dialogue with government to address the challenges facing Kenyans, among them the enactment of the controversial Security Bill .
Nyokabi also defended the government saying that it has accomplished many projects for the benefit of citizens.
“The government has been able to reduce inflation, address unemployment among youth and dealing with corruption,” said Nyokabi.
She further urged citizens to support the government to accomplish its tasks in economic, political and social spheres.
