Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has lashed out at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) chief executive officer Halakhe Waqo for allegedly intimidating leaders.
His sentiments come after he was accused of forging academic papers to vie for the parliamentary seat in the last general election.
Speaking at Kesses Sub County, Uasin Gishu, the outspoken politician Sudi asked EACC to stop pursuing him and direct its resources in the fight against corruption.
“I want to tell Halakhe, stop intimidating leaders. EACC has lots of challenges. It should not be used to interfere with people who are busy developing this country. Let it dedicate itself in fighting against corruption especially in counties. They should track national leaders embezzling public money,” said Sudi.
He also boasted that he has been a performer since he was elected in parliament during the last general elections and no one has the right to question his education background when he can do the job perfectly.
Sudi pointed out that he has done much for his people especially when it comes to Community Development Fund management.
“I’m not in a problem because others are saying I have no academic papers. I’m not a fool. I asked for votes in the last election not because I was a professor. Professors should be lecturing at institutions of higher learning.”
Sudi was responding to allegations that his Diploma in Business Management and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education certificates were fake.
