A section of politicians allied to the ruling Jubilee government has criticised the opposition led by Raila Odinga saying that it cannot offer alternative leadership to Kenyans.
Speaking in Kikuyu on Sunday during the homecoming party for the area MP Kimani Ichung’wa, the politicians led by Garissa Township MP Aden Duale accused the opposition of intruding into Jubilee government affairs.
“Raila should stop intruding into Jubilee government affairs and allow President Uhuru Kenyatta to work for Kenyans,” said Duale.
The Garissa Township MP claimed that Raila wants to discredit the Uhuru government through malicious propaganda.
“The opposition should spare the Jubilee government time and allow it to work for Kenyans,” said Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a who attended the homecoming ceremony.
The Thika lawmaker dismissed Raila claims on the controversial SH6.8 Billion Northern Water Collector Tunnel.
“Raila is not happy with the development progress achieved by Uhuru’s government and wants to water it down,” She alleged.
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria said that Cord is afraid of losing out in 2017.
“Raila and his team know that they don’t have any chance of winning against Uhuru and want to start propaganda to derail the government from realising its development goals,” he claimed.
Other leaders who attended the homecoming ceremony were ODM nominated MP who has since defected to Jubilee Party Isaac Mwaura, Limuru MP John Kiragu, Lari’s Mburu Kahangara and Kabete’s Ferdinand Waititu among others.
The politicians exuded confidence that President Kenyatta will be re-elected in 2017.
The leaders lauded Uhuru’s development agenda across the country stating that Kenyans have faith in him.
