Limuru Central MCA Joseph Njenga Murugami has asked National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders to stop intruding into the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) affairs and allow the Wafula Chebukati led commission to prepare for the August election.

Murugami claims that NASA is interfering with IEBC preparation for the August general election.

Speaking at Limuru on Monday, the MCA said that NASA’s claims that IEBC is not ready to conduct the August polls are false.

The MCA alleged that NASA is afraid of the August election and is looking for excuses to avoid the polls.

“Opposition leaders should stop intruding into IEBC affairs and give the commission space and time to prepare for credible August general election,” said the MCA.

At the same time, Murugami challenged NASA leaders to preach unity in their campaigns.

Murugami said that the country needs a peaceful environment ahead of the August polls.

He also challenged aspirants eyeing seats across the country to desist from spewing propaganda and focus on issue-based campaigns.
