Former Mombasa senator candidate Jabez Oduor has hit out at a section of Wiper leaders, warning them against issuing threats to their party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. This comes after the leaders threatened to ditch Wiper for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party. They gave Kalonzo a seven-day ultimatum to part ways with National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga, threatening to lead a massive walkout from the political outfit. However, Oduor said the defection of Wiper poll losers to Jubilee is inconsequential, adding that the leaders will not add any value to President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto as they seek to retain power ahead of the repeat presidential elections. He maintained that the Coast region is still an opposition stronghold, adding that leaders in the region are engaging in rigorous campaigns to ensure Raila wins the October 26 polls.“Kisauni MP Ali Mbogo, three parliamentary candidates in Mombasa and 19 Wiper MCAs are still in Wiper and active in campaigns,” said Oduor, as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke
