Lenku who is eyeing the Kajiado governorship, said Nkaissery has failed to respect the Constitution despite being a civil servant as he is actively being involved in politics.

Recently, Nkaissery publicly engaged in politics popularising the Jubilee party.

Speaking at Maili 46 in Kajiado during the graduation of Jubilee gubernatorial aspirant Tarayia Kores, Nkaissery urged residents to quit ODM for Jubilee, a move that did not go well with Lenku.

Addressing Kajiado residents at Bisil during a fundraiser, Lenku claimed the Interior CS is playing divisive politics by fronting certain aspirants in the Jubilee lineup.

He said the Jubilee party believes in democracy which can only be attained through the voice of the people and not individual's outfits.

Lenku further said Nkaissery might not be conversant with the Jubilee policy but will conduct civic education to make the Jubilee stand of free and fair nominations clear.

He urged the minister to concentrate on his job and stop meddling in Kajiado politics.

Nkaissery and Lenku who hail from different clans do not get along despite each claiming not to have personal differences.

Owing to the fact that Nkaissery is among influential Maa persons in Kajiado, the political rivalry between the two will be among factors that will determine vote swing in the region.

Lenku, incumbent Governor David Nkedianye and Kores are among the front runners for the hotly contested seat.
