An Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Member of Parliament has hit out at Deputy President William Ruto and his allies.
Kisumu Central MP Fred Ouda hás stated that the leaders were nagging President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ouda claimed Ruto's camp was blackmailing the Head of State into supporting his 2022 presidential ambition, saying such action was detrimental to service delivery.
"I don't think it is right and correct to issue ultimatums and threats to the President of Kenya on the matters 2022 election. It is just the other day Uhuru and Raila met to heal this country and right now the main agenda is to support the handshake," he said.
He blamed Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen for leading the 2022 debate.
He urged Ruto to show leadership in his camp by prevailing on his lieutenants to stop the Uhuru succession debate since the country was still reeling from effect of post 2017 election violence which sharply left Kenya divided.
