Majority leader, Aden Duale has come out clearly leading legislators in supporting the decision to stop party hopping saying time had come for leaders to make a choice on their political vehicles come 2017.

According to Duale, if one decides to hang on Raila's party, ODM or rather  Uhuru's Jubilee party, Kalonzo's  Wiper party or any other party, the one  must stick to the party because that is their decision.

“As you go home tonight, before we vote on this bill this, make a decision on whether you want to work with Kalonzo, Raila, Uhuru, Ruto or you will subject yourself to the will of clans as some of us do, otherwise you cannot keep on hopping until elections are announced,” Duale said.

However, the Emurua Dikir Member of Parliament, Johana Ngeno was of the contrary opinion, saying that everyone had a right to belong to whatever political party of their liking and further had a constitutional right to shift from one party if they so wish to other parties that address their needs.

"God allows party hoping, who are you on earth to deny party hoping...you are not God!" Said Ngeno in a bid to justify the same.
