Nyamira County women Rep Alice Chae has asked her critics and political competitors to stop using the Table Banking project as a political tool.
Speaking to the reporter on Friday, Chae said that people have been criticising her projects, yet she is only trying to help women empower themselves.
“Why are people bringing in politics in a project which is supposed to empower women in the society, table banking is for empowering women and it is not suppose to be used as a political tool,” Chae said.
She further added that the Uwezo Fund and women enterprise funds are also other kitties which are there to empower the women, and should be used wisely.
“Uwezo fund and women enterprise are part of the projects aimed at empowering the women, let he people wait for the right time to politic and sell their policies, not fighting the projects. That is why we can never move as Kenyans, we always fight what is good and defend what is bad,“ Chae added.
