Reacting to a recent fire incident at Nyamache high school in his office on Tuesday the governor said that there have been concern over the rising strikes in various schools and he said most of them are being contributed by internal politics in the schools.

“I call upon parents to stand out and ensure that they have the best representatives in the schools and not board members who are out to spoil the good reputation of schools,” he added.

The governor, however, regretted that the causes of strikes were too petty and would be handled so easily.

“Some of the board members should stop opposing everything that the school principals suggest because they have the best experience,” he added.

The governor called upon security agencies to ensure they carry out proper investigations to ensure that those involved in the fire incidents in Kisii county schools are arrested.
