Deputy President William Ruto has said the politics of 2022 are not priority right now but rather delivering the promises of the Jubilee Government.
Ruto said the politics and campaigns for 2022 will be spoken about "when the right time comes."
The DP noted this even as he is set to be in the race for state house tenancy, primed by Jubilee to take the baton from President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 elections.
"The politics of 2022 should not be on our agendas now but working for Kenyans as we promised in last year's elections," said Ruto.
Earlier, former Minister Henry Kosgei had called for sobriety by Rift Valley leaders, even as Jubilee Party is set to front DP Ruto in President Uhuru's succession plan.
Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago said he is in agreement that there should not be rogue politicians ahead of the big plan.
The DP also reacted to Raila Odinga's call for dialogue, after the opposition chief said his camp "is ready to dialogue with government."
"This is not the time to discuss on who shall take what position and or who will fill which position, it is time to work," he said.
Ruto spoke during a fundraiser at AIC Missionary College in Kapsoya, Ainabkoi Constituency.
