They said it was immoral for Cord leaders to parade the victims in rallies, yet they did nothing for them when they were in the grand coalition government, which their leader Raila Odinga was a co-principal.

The MPs described the move by Cord to use the victims in their political rallies as a desperate attempt to resurrect their dwindling political fortunes.

The MPs John Njoroge (Kasarani), Esther Gathogo (Ruiru), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Dennis Waweru (Dagoretti South), Ferdinand WaitItu (Kabete) and Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh had accompanied Deputy President William Ruto to Roysambu, Nairobi where they attended a church service.

Deputy President William Ruto reiterated the need for all political leaders to desist from engaging in divisive politics based on tribal lines ahead of the next General Election.

Ruto said the achievements of Kenya as a nation cannot be swallowed by retrogressive politics of tribalism and political rhetoric.
