Matiba died on Sunday night while undergoing treatment at Karen hospital.

Speaking in parliament where MPs paid tribute to the fallen hero, Duale asked the family of Matiba to warn politicians against talking politics during his burial.

Duale also asked the Budget and Appropriations Committee to seek guidance from the Attorney General and have Matiba's compensation factored in this year’s supplementary budget

The veteran politician was awarded Sh945 million after he sued the state over torture during the Kanu regime.
