Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama wants the county government to improve service delivery and 'stop public relations campaigns'.
Addressing reporters at Machakos town on Sunday, Muthama accused the county government of doing little to improve the living standards of the people.
He further accused Governor Alfred Mutua of instead engaging in public relations campaigns in the name of development projects.
The senator said the county has failed to address core problems facing the people, such as unemployment.
“We want real development projects not PR and publicity campaigns,” said Muthama.
The senator added that he had nothing personal against Governor Mutua.
He said his role as the senator is to oversight the activities taking place in the county government.
Muthama called on county MCAs to come out and demand services on behalf of the people.
“MCAs should be active and demand change and development,” he added.
