A section of youths have called upon to Kisii County Governor James Ongwae to fulfill is promises before the general election.

According to them, the next polls is nearing without much done by county administration under Ongwae's leadership so to the youths.

Speaking on Sunday at Kisii town the youths led by Joshua Nyasimi accused the governor of promising much without fulfilling.

This comes after Governor James Ongwae on Saturday during talent search event which was initiated by women Rep Mary Otara, said the county government is going to build an academy center which will help in nurturing talented youths .

The youths have now termed his statement as mere public relation since he has been saying the same thing since he became governor.

“We have been hearing the governor saying that his administration will help to construct  the Talent academy for the last three years, but nothing has been done,” Nyasimi said.

They also said that the governor has been initiating some projects in the name of the youths but none has been successful, for instance, he said that there were some tournaments which were in the name of bodaboda youths but nothing has been done so far.

They have appealed to the governor to fulfill the promises to the youths before the election even by meeting them to discuss issues on how to help them.
