Kangundo MP Fabian Kyule has urged Kenya National Highways Authority and the National Transport and Safety Authority to take measures to help reduce road carnage.
The lawmaker said the recent fatal accident at Sachang'wan blackspot along the Nakuru -Eldoret highway and Bungoma were saddening.
He said the two agencies are doing too little to save lives.
"NTSA and KeNHA should act to stop frequent road crashes. Our people won't be dying as the agencies watch. More bumps and road signs should be put on our roads to ensure the drivers observe rules and regulations when driving on the roads", said the MP.
Kyule called on motorists to drive at the recommended speed because over speeding has been associated with road carnage.
"Drivers know very well driving at a high speed kills, I am yet to understand why they still can't adhere to the set rules and drive keenly to prevent loss of lives on our roads", he stated.
