Nyamira County Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo has been asked to stop sacking county workers without following the legal procedures.
According to Catholic Bishop Joseph Mairura, Nyaribo should stop frustrating county employees.
“The current confusion we have witnessed in Nyamira County must come to an end. Nyaribo should stop becoming selfish and desperate to become Nyamira Governor yet we have Governor John Nyagarama in office. County workers must be given humble time to work and deliver services to the electorates,” he said.
Mairura called on Gusii elected leaders to unite and speak in one voice because divisive politics will not help in developing the two counties.
“Elected leaders in Nyamira and Kisii Counties should unite and ensure they work as a team to bring development in the region. Divisive and hatred politics will derail development in Gusii region,” added Mairura.
He said Nyamira and Kisii Counties should be inclusive in all appointments of public officers.
The Bishop was speaking on Saturday during the official opening of Nyakwerema Catholic church building.
