Nominated Member of Parliament Oburu Odinga has told off the National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale to cease from talking about him.

Duale on Sunday accused the former prime minister, Raila Odinga and former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka of nepotism, saying the two were favouring their family members to be elected in the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA).

His sentiments came after reports indicated that Raila’s brother, Oburu and Wiper party leaders’ son Kennedy Musyoka, had applied for the EALA positions.

Addressing the press in Mombasa, Monday, Oburu refuted claims that his brother was favouring him. He stated that he was qualified like any other Kenyan to vie for the position adding that his biological relationship with Raila should not be used as an excuse to deny him a chance.

The nominated legislator however said he had opted out of the race after several consultations but asked the Garissa Township MP to respect him.

“You (Duale) should desist from talking about me because I am not even your age. You are a young man and you even easily be cursed by elders if you start now using abusive language. So respect us and we will respect you,” Oburu said.
