Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has been advised to respect the law.
National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale condemned CORD politicians for threatening to protest over the plight of six MPs who were held over hate speech.
According to Duale the legislators were under lawful custody as directed by the judiciary and therefore the opposition should respect the law.
Odinga had threatened the opposition would hold a rally at Uhuru Park on Saturday in honour of the MPs who were behind bars.
“The MPS were in custody as ordered by the magistrate and affirmed by the High Court. CORD cannot pick and choose which rulings to comply with and which to disrespect, they must practice what they preach," he added.
