Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina.Photo/kenyatoday.com.A senator allied to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has set tough conditions for President Uhuru Kenyatta to prove if indeed he has the interest of 45 million Kenyans at heart as he claims.
Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina on Wednesday claimed that Uhuru is a pretender and told him to among other things stop using public resources to conduct his campaigns ahead of the October 17 polls.
"If he really has the interest of Kenyans at heart as he wants us to believe then let him stop using public resources to conduct his campaigns. We have millions of Kenyans are suffering and jobless while he is busy flying in choppers", he said.
However, in a swift rejoinder, Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju defended the president saying that he is still the president and must address his preelection pledges.
" You are the same people who will want to put the president to the task should he fail to deliver on his preelection pledges. As long as he is not using state resources to campaign for someone else then there is nothing wrong for him to use state resources. He is still the president ",he added.
The president and his perennial rival Nasa's Raila Odinga have been given the greenlight to hit the campaign trail following the nullification of the August 8 presidential results by the Supreme Court.
