A strange occurrence happened in Machakos, Kyamuli when a white resident parked his vehicle on the hilly road to get water for his car from a stream nearby.
He returned to find his vehicle moved approximately 50 meters. What shocked Mr Guy Thompson was instead of the car moving downwards in line with the law of gravity, it climbed up the road.
On asking the locals from around the area, the area called Kyaume (which means men in Kamba dialect) dates back to an ancient story of two men Kyalo and Mwilu who shared one woman as their wife. It is alleged that the two were separated by a river that flows downhill. The woman came to pass away and was buried just near the stream in the middle.
Hence it is rumored that the gravitational pull is the spirit of the two men still fighting over the woman hence the pulling force towards their grave yard.
