A Jubilee political strategist has revealed that the Akamba community is likely to vote for the Jubilee party in huge numbers contrary to August 8 when the party 'clearly struggled to put up a fight in Ukambani'.
Mutinda Kavemba on Sunday claimed that the election of Mike Sonko as the governor of Nairobi would clearly turn the tide to their favor in Ukambani after proving that the Jubilee party has their interest at heart.
"Personally I believe that so many Kambas will now vote in Jubilee because of the election of Sonko as Nairobi governor. The party has clearly demonstrated that it has no sacred cows especially after our to rivals claimed that Sonko would be shortchanged to drop out of the race," said the former Nairobi senatorial hopeful.
Despite picking a few seats here and there in Ukambani Jubilee suffered a phenomenal loss in the presidential contest where Nasa's Raila Odinga emerged victorious in all the three major counties of Machakos, Makueni and Kitui.
But with the Supreme Court having vacated the August 8 poll results, battle lines have already been redrawn with a number of poll losers trooping to Jubilee to campaign for president Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the October 26 repeat election.
