In the last few days, this street couple has been making headlines for their true and pure love for each other.
Yesterday, however, Sammy Githae echoed his message to President Uhuru Kenyatta on live TV.
"If only President Uhuru would remember us here with my girlfriend Zipporah Njeri and give us a piece of land, we would be grateful," pleaded Githae during an interview on the Trend show on NTV.
Githae and Njeri also revealed that their life in the streets hasn't been easy and they are ready to begin a different kind of life if they get employment.
"I would like to work as a caterer or any other decent job that will improve my life," said Virginia.
Virginia also said she would be glad to reunite with her family in Timboroa but she would never ever leave the love of her life.
On the other hand, Githae has a driving license and is looking for employment as a driver to allow him to improve his life and Njeri, and that of his siblings who are in a children's home.
Githae, an orphan recalls how he joined the streets after the death of his parents seeking for a means to earn a leaving seeing that even their inheritance had been grabbed.
The two already have got support from a well-wisher who has paid for their five months rent. Bonfire adventures also gave them a three days holiday to Diani.
The photos of the celebrated street couple emerged after photographer Johnson Muchiri covered their sweet love story in form of photography on Valentine's day. According to Muchiri, his action was triggered by one Jacinta Njoki who has been working with the street families.
