Jubilee party National Election Committee (NEC) chair Andrew Musangi has defended the move by Jubilee party to stretch the nomination process from one day to three days.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Thursday, Musangi said that the change in dynamics on the ground was the reason for the increase in the number of days of Jubilee party primaries.
"The stretching of Jubilee party nominations is solely due to the change in dynamics on the ground. The nomination is a complex process that requires adjustments once there is a shift in one way or another. A good example of a shift in dynamic is the increase of the counties from 33 to 45," said Musangi.
Musangi, however, warned that the Jubilee party primaries are going to be devoid of any rigging problems.
According to Musangi, measures have been taken to ensure no one rigs the nominations in all the counties it has set to do.
"We have taken safety measures to ensure no one rigs the forthcoming Jubilee party primaries. For example, the ballot papers have 5 safety measures that cannot be duplicated," added Musangi.
