Kisii county Governor James Ongwae has challenged workers of the county to avoid threatening to hold strikes and demonstrations when things are not good.
Speaking at Gusii cultural hall during the meeting with Agriculture department staff members of the county Governor Ongwae challenged them not to threaten the county about holding demonstrations when there is something wrong.
“As the county, we are devoted to making sure that each department is well served hence we advocate that when there is something wrong we should sit together for a better solution without going to streets,” said Ongwae.
“Am sure that whenever there is a problem there is a solution when we can sit and discuss the matter without threatening anybody,” he said.
The county boss also said that if all departments can decide to go to streets for demonstrations it will affect the economy of the county.
This comes after agriculture workers threatened to go on the streets as one way of presenting their grievances but they called it off after meeting with the CEC agriculture who made them meet the governor on Wednesday.
