Speaking in Machakos, Kilonzo said that the doctors should obey the court order and consider going back to work or leave the job for the capable if they can't handle it.

"The people's health is at stake, the doctors had a meeting with the county government and we agreed to fulfill their 25 demands, but on Friday when they were supposed to sign the agreement they never showed up and that's why they have been issued with a court order," said Kilonzo.

He noted that once the doctors go back to work they should follow the stipulated rules of working for eight hours per day, where he said most doctors had a tendency of staying in the hospitals for a few hours and then leave.

"Even during working hours most doctors have been found absent in their places of work simply because they have been running other businesses like pharmacies," added Kilonzo.

He seconded Machakos governor saying that the doctor's strike is politically motivated and that's the main reason why doctors are ignoring the court order.
