This, they say, can be done in the seven days the court allowed them to have further negotiations.

The talks are being steered by Cotu in partnership with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) after they were granted their intervention wish by Employment and Labour Relations Court.

On Monday, Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) officials said they were waiting to hear from  Atwoli and the KNCHR officials over the matter.

“We will cooperate fully and engage proactively. We hope the other side (government) will also do the same,” said KMPDU secretary-general Oluga as reported by the Nation.

The sides will be holding talks with the inclusion of other government agencies as directed by Justice Hellen Wasilwa.

The agencies include the Council of Governors (CoG), Ministry of Finance, Auditor-General, Ministry of Labour, Public Service Commission, Federation of Kenya Employers and Salaries and Remuneration Commission.

The Nairobi venue of the negotiations has not been disclosed.
