Siaya County government has sacked all its 512 striking nurses.

Confirming the move, the County’s health chief Dorothy Owino told journalist that the county is on its last stages of coming up with full advertisement to fill the void.

“We have tried reasoning with them through their leaders but they have refused to listen,” said Owino.

She further stated that the jobs will be announced through the county service board.

Nurses countrywide have been on strike demanding the implementation of the Collective Bargain Agreement (CBA) signed by the Council of Governors on March this year.
