NGO workers assisting patients in Siaya County have been threatened to withdraw their services.

The nurses' union in Siaya has threatened to attack the workers frustrating their strike.

Sylvester Nganda, county KNUN called on Non-Governmental Organisations infiltrating the facility to keep off or face their wrath.

“We are concerned about patients but poor remuneration and lack of allowances hinders us from doing our jobs effectively,” he told journalists at the hospital on Wednesday.

He said they are advocating for the well-being so the NGOs should not cross the line by hurting or sabotaging their mission.

Nganda said they will "attack, beat and frogmarch" any person from NGOs found examining or treating patients at the hospital.
