National Assembly Minority Leader Francis Nyenze has issued a seven days ultimatum to the National Super Alliance (Nasa), to name the Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka as the coalition's presidential flag bearer.  The Kitui West MP said Kalonzo who is one of the four Nasa principals, will not accept anything less than his name being on the presidential ballot box in the August 8, elections.  Nyenze warned that Wiper was ready to quit Nasa and ensure Kalonzo becomes president, if it fails to give him the coalition ticket.  Citing the 2013 Cord coalition agreement between Kalonzo, ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, he warned that people from the Kamba community had no time to waste and that if it would not be Kalonzo, they would 'go it alone'.

"We are taking nothing less than Kalonzo being the president. There's nothing like him being number two or someone's deputy. It's either him, or we go it alone. Kalonzo must be on the ballot box. They should honour the 2013 MoU or forget everything,'' he warned.

Speaking at parliament buildings, the Wiper MP criticised frequent meetings by Nasa, aimed at settling at the flag bearer, saying Wiper will not be moved from its decision.

"We as the Kambas, time is not at our side. They have been calling for frequent meetings to settle at a potential flag bearer, we are not changing our minds no matter how many meetings we attend,'' Nyenze said, Wednesday.

He further castigated unity between the Raila, Kalonzo, Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, saying there was no unity among them, as they claimed.
