Kenya Premier League side Tusker FC has suspended head tactician George 'Best' Nsimbe over alleged 'unfortunate remarks' he made about his squad. The Ugandan is understood to have said that the reigning KPL champions had old players who could not deliver much resulting into the dismal performance that Brewers have recorded lately.
The remarks, however, seems not to have gone down well with the club's management who reacted by suspending him on Tuesday.“We have asked Nsimbe to step aside and not suspended him. This is in regards to the comment he made on ‘old players’. We are not investigating him at all but have asked him to step aside for a period of time,”the club's liason officer Diana Yonah said.It is however understood that the club was already having reservations with the way the former Azam FC coach was steering the club following a below par defence of the KPL title as well as early exits in the GoTv shield competitions.Following the suspension, deputy tactician Francis Baraza will take charge.
