Kisii University students have given the area county government an ultimatum of 48 hours to fix a crucial road connectivity in the region.
For weeks now, residents have been struggling with rains that apparently culminated to blackage of drainage systems within the region that is largely occupied by students.
The institution's student leader Alex Opiyo accused the county government of dragging to fulfill promises adding that students would revert to streets if the issue is not addressed.
"They promised good road but they are doing shoddy work! They should know we pay tax just like other citizens. The only language the government understands is demonstrations," said Opiyo.
He further stated: "We have given them 48 hours to rectify the situation or meet us in the streets in few days."
The county government started the feeder roads renovation after last month after the students threatened to demonstrate.
