The training is aimed at raising the voices of students in the institutions.

Speaking on Wednesday after the launch of the first day of the students leaders Conference the programme chairperson, Francis Mutisya, said that their main agenda was to sensitize students on good leadership skills.

Mutisya said that the skills will not only help them in the school but also as potential kenya's leaders.

“The three day program is aimed at developing the personal leadership skills. This is because they are supposed to be role models to their peers,” said Mutisya.

Present during the conference was Machakos County sports executive secretary, Daniel Munguti.

Munguti said that the programme was aimed at reducing the strikes in schools and creates a platform for students to be heard.

“We have been witnessing strikes in our schools. We hope that the programme will be of great positive impact back in all the schools represented,” added Munguti.
