There was drama on Wednesday at an estate in Kisumu, after tenants protested against one of the neighboring houses.
According to the tenants, the house occupied by a Maseno University student has been turned into a brothel.
The tenants noted that the student hired the house to other men, who visited the house for a short while then left.
They claimed that the house was accommodating prostitutes at a fee.
According to one of the neighbors, one will have to part with between Sh300 to 500 to secure the house.
"These are the same people who steal from us. The student keeps entertaining different men with ladies. We wonder how he gets his clients," noted Wilson Ochi.
The tenants noted that the student was a bad influence on their children, as he was exposing them to criminal activities.
"We wonder how long this will take before they start turning into dangerous criminals. Some of the ladies remain behind even after their customers are gone," said Milly Asego.
The residents noted that the landlord was a deadbeat man who never took serious any complaints.
Speaking to this writer on phone, the Landlord Nathan Otondo, noted he has never received any complaints from the tenants.
"I am not aware of the allegations labeled by the tenants. But all the same I will look into the matter," said Otondo.
The student, however, declined the allegations adding that it was only his friends who came over for drinks.
