A Maseno University student has been forced to spend the night in the cold after his landlord decided to throw him out.
The landlord would not take his pleas again and decided to throw him out.
The lamenting student is now worried about his future and has threatened to take the landlord to court.
The 3rd year University student failed to pay rent for the last two months something that has angered the’ understanding’ landlord.
“I think this is very unfair. I have been a loyal client since I came here. I am in a financial breakdown at the moment and I tried to talk him but he just can’t listen,” Stated Jared Otini the 3rd Year student.
The landlord however ‘disowned’ him calling him a conman.
“I have always been very lenient with him. The first month he was not able to pay and I allowed him to stay on deposit something against my own rules. It is now 2 months since he resided on deposit but he keeps on lying to me , saying he will be paying the next week. I can’t keep up with his lies anymore,” stated Michael Omullo the landlord.
He accused the student of living extravagant lifestyle and failing to pay rent.
“He keeps on drinking and coming late night from parties with different ladies. He has the money but does not want to pay. He is only taking my generosity for granted,” he said.
He laughed off claims that the student would sue him saying he is ready to battle him in court. The rent in arrears is Sh20,000
