A number of Kisii University students affected by the closure of some of its campuses have blamed the management of deceit.
They said despite being assured of their stay in their campuses following the earlier scuffle of a closure of the institution, the university went ahead to close some of its campuses.
Some of the campuses affected are Nyamira, Ogembo, Keroka, Isebania, and Kehancha.
The students said they are now forced to move from their area of residence to the said campuses something they say will be very expensive.
“I chose this campus since I am a part time student and work during the day but now I imagine moving to Kabarnet or Kericho campus. This is a total inconvenience," said Mary Nduta of Keroka campus.
Some are them are accusing the school of convincing them that all was settled.
“Following the earlier scuffle, I never expected we would close since we had been assured that none of the outlined campuses would be closed which is contrary to what we are experiencing now," said Moses Babu.
Some want the school to compensate them for his.
“The school should compensate us for this inconvenience and failure to warn us early enough. They should also consider providing transport services for the affected students,” said Angelica Muthoni.
