Maseno university vice chancellor Julius Nyabundi has warned students against joining terror groups.
Nyabundi who was speaking on Monday during the orientation of first-year students, Nyambudi said that any individual found associating with any terror group will be punished.
"As an institution, we shall take action against individual students who will be found associating with any terror group," said Nyabundi.
The warning comes at a time when incidents of students joining terror groups have been on the rise over the recent past.
The newly installed Vice Chancellor further stated that the institution will ban all ethnic groups among students as means of promoting national unity.
"This is to help bring cohesion among the students," said Nyabundi.
