More than 300 students of Mulu Mutisya Secondary School in Mwala sub-county walked a distance of 40 KM to Machakos Education and Teachers Service Commission offices to air their grievances.
The students who had massive grievances mainly complained of poor performance they alleged was caused by superstition and witchcraft.
"We are supplied with eggs which after we eat we don't remember anything we had been taught 10 minutes earlier," said one student.
The students who broke the School gate on Monday early morning are demanding for another head teacher and deputy head teacher after a series of poor performance and alleged ill-treatment.
Speaking to one of the students, Steve accused the head teacher Paul Muthiani of abusing and discouraging them.
"Imagine a teacher calling us 'ng'ombe' (cow) and openly telling us we cannot make it in life after school we will go back to the village," he complained.
The students who walked from Mwala to Makutano up to Yathui explained to the journalists that they would not go back to school until the headteacher and his deputy are transferred.
