The constituency office has divided the fund into four parts to ensure that no deserving student is left out in the allocation.

The applications for the form 2-4 students are already ongoing and the deadline is December 16.

The constituency office has set aside Sh3m for those expected to join form one and their applications will come later once the class eight national examination (KCPE) results are announced.

Persons with disability have been allocated Sh1m and students in universities and colleges will get a total of Sh2.5m.

Limuru MP John Kiragu said the goal of every parent was to educate their children and see them become somebody of value in the society.

“Why do we wake up in the morning and rush to offices to work or to our businesses? It is the goal of every parent to educate their children and empower them,” said Kiragu.

The legislator’s Personal Assistant John Mukabi told parents with students in secondary school from form2-4 to hurry and apply for the bursary before the opportunity is closed on Tuesday, December 16.

Parents were also encouraged to motivate their children to work hard in school so that the school fees they pay, or the government pays through bursaries bears them fruit.
