Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) students have urged the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) to be disbursing the funds on time. Students Union Chairman Cleophas Kosgey said most students from poor background suffer due to late disbursement."It's sad that despite the student applying for the loan in January it takes over three months for the funds to be channeled into the school account thus inconveniencing students," he said in Eldoret town, Friday."They should be disbursing the funds at the beginning of the term if they really want students to benefit," he addedHe also called upon HELB to increase the funds allocated for the institution for more students to benefit."The funds that we receive is a drop in the ocean, it should be increased for more students to benefit," he said. Kosgey urges Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) not to frustrate students by not registering their courses.
