Gicheru said that action will be taken against any  person who does not adhere to the directive.

While speaking in Subukia on Wednesday, the commissioner called on politicians not to conduct meetings at night saying such meetings pose an increased security threat.

“I call upon all residents to heed this ban. Anyone who wants to hold a meeting should notify the police so that they can provide security,” Gicheru said.

The commissioner reiterated the need for good cooperation between residents and the security officers through sharing of information, adding that police have increased patrols in the sub county as a way of boosting security.
