Subukia residents have gone on the rampage over what they call increasing mistreatment by the OCS attached to Subukia police station.
The residents say the OCS is trigger happy which led to their storming the police station on Wednesday where they demanded the immediate transfer of the officer, identified as Ali Juma.
Led by area MCA, Njoroge Muchiri, they said that the cop is dangerous to the lives of the locals and they want a psychiatric test carried on him as he has exhibited some signs of mental problems.
“The OCS is very arrogant and he told us he does not recognise anybody apart from Inspector General David Kimaiyo. He has been arresting residents and threatening to shoot them. He moves with his pistol telling people that he is unshakable,” said Muchiri.
The MCA adds that the efforts to try and talk to the officer to exercise some modesty have borne no fruits as the officer has dismissed them saying that he neither recognises the constitution or the elected leaders as he operates under what he calls 'OCS Subukia act'.
“We have now sat down with the area OCPD and we have greed that since this OCS is uncontrollable, let him seek some medical attention and then get transferred from this area; he is a dangerous fellow," said Muchiri.
